meet THE TORKELSON’S
FOX & GOAT RANCH OWNERS
AS THE OWNERS OF THE FOX & GOAT SINCE 2014, WE FEEL TRULY BLESSED.
We searched long and hard looking for our dream property. Our initial goal was to have a B&B, but quickly realized that dealing with the “red tape” issues that come with a B&B were quite stringent; we weren’t prepared to take that on right away.
In June of 2015 during a gathering held here – with Brandi’s co-workers at the Cheney School District – a parent asked if we’d ever considered doing wedding’s here. Her daughter was getting married the following June. After much consideration, we jumped in feet first, and with some blood, sweat, and tears, we had our place ready for our first wedding, and have had many since then. Details of pricing, and everything involved can be found right here on our website.
Given we have been blessed with this location, we soon realized that we could give back to the community using the Fox & Goat Ranch. For many years, Brandi worked as a Para-Educator in the Cheney School District, working with the extremely handicapped and autistic children. We now host three charity events each year – an Easter Egg Hunt, a Pumpkin Patch, and Santa pictures, as the majority of these children (and some adults) are either unable or not allowed to do these things in the public forum. There is no charge for any of these events, and we certainly appreciate the volunteers that are willing to assist with these each year. We will continue to host these events each year for the handicapped/disabled folks in our community.
